PULLEY Funeral services will be held Wednesday, at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Margaret Worrell Pulley, 89, [who] died in tn the Confederate Widow's home in Richmond, Sunday afternoon. Services will be conducted from the Oakland Christian Church in Chuckatuck, by Dr. W. Millard Stevens, pastor. A native of Southampton County, she was the widow of Richard W. Pulley and the daughter of the late Robert B. and Mrs. Nancy Johnson Worrell. Mrs. Pulley was the last widow or a Confederate soldier residing at the Confederate widow's Home in Richmond. She was a member of the Johnson Grove Christian Church in Sedley. Survivors include six nieces, Mrs. Percy Hundley and Mrs. James Thacker, both of Smithfield, Mrs. Lee Norfleet and Mrs. Richard Nelms, both of Suffolk, Mrs. D.W. Taylor of Baltimore and Mrs. Alfred Luttrell of Charlottesville; also two nephews, Robert Pulley of Smithfield and Leslie Pulley of Franklin. Interment will be in the Family Cemetery, near Johnson Grove Christian Church near Sedley. Services are being directed by the Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield.
