Paige Pulley, a farmer and owner of H.P. and Thomas M. Pulley Southampton Hams, died May 11, in a Norfolk hospital. Mr. Pulley, a Southampton County native, was a trustee and deacon of Millfield Baptist Church. He was a former member of the Southampton Planning Commission, Ivor Volunteer Fire Department and Ivor Ruritan Club. He was a member of the Virginia Carolina Peanut Farmers’ Cooperative Association and Wakefield Veteran’s Club. He was World War II Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Annetta Seward Pulley; a daughter, Gwendolyn P. Mertens of Sea Grit, N.J.; a son, H. Paige Pulley Jr. of Ivor; his mother, Elsie W. Pulley of Baton Rouge, La.; a step-daughter, Vicki K. Parker of Wakefield; a stepson, Christopher S. King of Raleigh; two sisters, Evelyn P. Louden of Baton Rouge and Doris P. Todd of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two grandchildren; and a step-grandson. The funeral was conducted Wednesday in Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield by the Revs. Frank Crawford and Lewis Harris. Burial was in Ivor Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Howard Paige PULLEY {Sr.}, Navy veteran of WW-II, farmer and owner of H.P. & Thomas M.
