All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ IDA MAY DAVIS POND SEDLEY - Mrs. Ida May Davis Pond, 73, formerly of Southampton County, died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ray W. Vann, in Norfolk. She was the widow of George D. Pond and the daughter of James P. and Mrs. Sarah Rollings Davis of Southampton County. She was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Besides the daughter with whom she lived, she is survived by two other daughters, Mrs. Jack Rudolph of Pittsburg and Mrs. John Wilkins of Norfolk; one son, George D. Pond of Portsmouth; 11 grandchildren and one great- grandchildren. A funeral service was conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. C.L. Gatling of Black Creek Baptist Church. Burial was in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley. Pallbearers were Charlie Bulls, Curtis Williams, Roger Tomlin, Edgar Drewry, Robert Raiford, Eddie Bulls, Linwood Bradshaw and Fenton Beale. Ida May (DAVIS; Mrs. George D.
