META LENA GLOVER PEARCE

   Sebrell - A funeral service for Mrs. Meta Lena Glover Pearce, 78, was held 
Tuesday at 2 p.m. in McDowell funeral Home, Boykins, by the Rev. Joseph 
Shepperd. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins.

   Pallbearers were Frances Posey, Bruce Tidwell, Linwood Ricks, Clarence Davis, 
Ashby Vincent and J.P. Simmons.

   She died Sunday in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.

   She was a native of North Carolina and the wife of Arthur Pearce. She was a 
member of Sebrell United Methodist Church.

   Other survivors include a daughter Mrs. J.H. Gray III of Courtland; three 
sisters, Mrs. A.H. Vincent and Mrs. Emma Tew of Hopewell and Mrs. Lydia Davis of 
Suffolk; and two grandchildren.
