Person, 70, died Sunday at 2:50 a.m. in a Portsmouth hospital after a long illness. She was a native of Greensville County and lived in Portsmouth 20 years. She was a daughter of Robert Hall and Mrs. Ozemma Sykes Ellis and was a member of Persons Methodist Church, Southampton County. She was the widow of Walter C. Person. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edna P. Lowe of Franklin, and Mrs. Robert E. Nein of Portsmouth; two sons, James E. Person and Maurice A. Person, both of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mrs. E.C. Francis, of Branchville, Mrs. P.R. Pittman of Waverly, and ten grandchildren. The body was taken to the Purviance Funeral Home in Boykins. A funeral service was conducted in Persons Methodist Church Tuesday at 3 p.m. by Rev. H.G. Walker, pastor. Elsie H. (ELLIS; Mrs. Walter C.)
