PARKER, 81, DIES IN FRANKLIN FRANKLIN - George Hinson Parker, 81, a retired druggist, died Friday in a local hospital. Mr. Parker, founder and owner of the Parker Drug Co., was a director of the Virginia National Bank, a charter member of the Franklin Rotary Club, a member of Khedive Temple in Norfolk and a steward of High Street Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lucy Short Parker; a daughter, Mrs. Copeland E. Adams of Blackstone; a son, George H. Parker, Jr. of Franklin; and a brother, Reynolds Parker of Carrollton. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at High Street Methodist Church, with burial in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
