Holland & Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Rev. Chester brown of Hampton Baptist church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were W.T Pace Jr., E.V. Stephenson Jr., Raby H. Cornwell, Joseph C. Raiford, Homer Saunders, Winston Camp, T. Holt Brantley and L. Ashley Brantley. Miss Parker, supervisor of music in the Hampton schools, died Sunday night in her home at 83 Elizabeth Road. A native of Franklin, she was a daughter of Claude Gibson and Mrs. Mariette Owens Parker. She lived in Hampton 11 years, was a member of Hampton Baptist Church and its Woman’s Missionary Society, and Music Committee, and member of the Association of University Women. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. W.W. Cuthrell of Richmond, Mrs. Livingstone H. Babb of Ivor, and Mrs. Alfred H. Patterson of Oak Ridge, Tenn.
