The wife of Benjamin Franklin Parker, she was a daughter of Fletcher and Elizabeth Bazemore Minton of Bertie County, N.C. She was a member of Lewiston Baptist Church, Lewiston, N.C. Surviving besides her husband are four daughters, Mrs. Julia Spence of Franklin, Mrs. Helena Joyner of Handsom, Mrs. Lillian Pittman of Whitakers, N.C., and Mrs. Grover Kizer of Holland; six sons, Charlie H. Parker of Portsmouth, Frank Clifton Parker of Sedley and Robert Frederick Parker, Wade Hampton Parker, Ralph Minton Parker and Jasper Wilson Parker of Franklin; two sisters Mrs. Tullie Leake of Rich Square, N.C., and Mrs. Annie Modlin of Ahoskie, N.C., 27 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the Holland Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins of Franklin Baptist Church and the Rev. Thomas Downing of Sycamore Baptist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert F. Parker, Jr., Clyde Parker, Melvin Ellis, Harry Ellis, Franklin Ellis and Jo Spence. Lucy Mae* (MINTON; Mrs. Benjamin F.)
