BUNN PARKER Mrs. Mary Bunn Parker, age 74 years, resident of Portsmouth for the past few years and a former resident of Franklin died Wednesday morning at Kings Daughters Hospital after an illness of a few months. Mrs. Parker was the widow of J.J. Parker, a postal employee of Franklin for many years. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary Hatfield Bunn of Dinwiddie and a member of Franklin Baptist Church. The remains were taken to W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home in Franklin, where it will remain until Friday morning when it was taken to the Franklin Baptist Church for services at 11 o’clock. Rev. R.D. Stephenson, officiating. Surviving Mrs. Parker are four daughters, Mrs. E.M. Story of Norfolk, Mrs. K.G. Brown, Mrs. R.M. Hall and Miss Janie Parker of Portsmouth, two grandchildren, Jack and Billie Brown. One brother, C.E. Bunn, of Franklin and one sister, Mrs. W.J. Bradshaw, of Franklin. Interment was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, with the following pallbearers: F.F. Jenkins, D.T. Prince, J.A. Weede, Carl Steinhardt, W.R. Atkinson, Exum N. White, R.C. Branch and Henry Duck. Mary Frances (BUNN; Mrs. John J.)
