Parker, early Thursday after brief illness. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Martha Howell Parker and son of James H. and Mrs. Martha Ann Griggs Parker of Nansemond County. He was a member of the Colosse Baptist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. M.K. Jones of Windsor; three sons, G.L. Parker of Franklin, S.E. Parker of Pennsville, N.J., Lennie B. Parker of Zuni; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard E. Parker of Rising Sun, Md.; and one sister, Mrs. Florence Story of Franklin. Funeral services were held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Holland Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton, Jr., pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist church and the Rev. Donald E. Trump, pastor of Colosse Baptist Church. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery, Walters. Pallbearers were John M. Ballard, T.J. Blythe, Jr., Fenton Beale, James Hatfield, Frank Lowe and Jasper Carr.
