A native of Northampton County, NC., he was the husband of Mrs. Icie Baker Parker, he was a member and former deacon of Courtland Baptist Church; a member of Courtland Masonic Lodge No. 85, and the Scottish Rites Bodies; he was a farmer and was retired from the U.S. Postal Dept. Surviving besides his wife are one son, Elliott Burrell Parker of Courtland; one sister; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A graveside service will be held Sunday at 3 P.M. in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, by Rev. Edmund Ellis with Masonic rites. W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, in charge. Memorial donations may be made to Courtland Rescue Squad or Courtland Baptist Church.
