Green and Kenneth Williams. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery, Newsoms. Porter died Monday in his home. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Callie Mae Fuller Porter. He was a retired merchant and drove a Southampton County school bus for 33 years. He was a Army veteran of World War II and a member of Newsoms United Church, Disabled American Veterans, Virginia Beach Chapter, and American Legion Post 276. Other survivors include a brother, Walter L. Porter of Newsoms; stepmother, Mrs. Lorena Miles Beale of Boykins; and nieces and nephews.
