LEWIS THOMAS PORTER

   Boykins - A funeral service for Lewis Thomas Porter was conducted at 2:30 
p.m. Monday in McDowell Funeral Home by the Rev. James Campbell. Burial was in 
Beechwood Cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Steve Bryant, J.C. Blowe, W.H. Britt, Robert Baugham, Roy 
Porter, Benjamin Porter, Wilson Barnes and Earl Vick.

   Porter, 69, died Saturday in Medical College of Virginia Hospital, Richmond.

   A native of Hertford County, N.C., he was a son of Thomas Henry and Mrs. 
Virginia Martha Gray Porter.

   He was a farmer.

   He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Roy W. Simmons of Boykins.
