He is survived by his wife, Frances Ellis Partridge; four sons, William S. Partridge of Chase City, Harry Lee Partridge, stationed in Norfolk with the U.S. Coast Guard, Allen M. Partridge of Drewryville, and John E. Partridge of Branchville; one daughter, Mrs. Stafford Haga, of Montross, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Thomas Memorial Church, of which Mr. Partridge had been a member, at 3:00 Tuesday afternoon. Officiating were the Rev. W.W. Stinnett, the Rev. Marshall Anderson, and the Rev. J.T. Cassell. Interment was in Drewryville Cemetery. ****************************************************************************** WILLIAM ALLEN PARTRIDGE William Allen Partridge, a retired farmer and long time resident of the Drewryville community, died at his home in Drewryville. He was the son of the late Conrad Partridge and Bettie Boothe Partridge and was born in Sussex County on February 20, 1880. He was married in 1903 to Miss Fannie Ellis, daughter of the late Samuel Ellis, of the Drewryville community who survives him. He is also survived by five children; William, of Chase City; Mrs. Louise Haga, of Montross; John, of Branchville, Allen, of Drewryville, and Harry, Warrant Officer in the United States Coast Guard, stationed at Norfolk. Mr. Partridge had been a member of Hebron Baptist Church for fifty years. Funeral was held in the Drewryville Baptist Church on March 24 and the body was laid to rest in the family plot in the Drewryville Memorial Cemetery. The Rev. William Stennett of the Baptist Church and the Rev. J.T. Cassell of the Methodist Church officiated. Dr. J.J. Grizzard, Howard Simmons, John T. Claud, Jesse Lee, P.J. Mattox, G.W. Leigh, Peter Thomas and Roy Ricks acted as pallbearers.
