He was the husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Lovegrove Parham and a son of J.H. and Mrs. Bell Pool Parham. A native of North Carolina, he had lived here for many years and was a retired farmer. Besides his widow, surviving are four sons, Louis H. Parham, Russell Edward Parham, and Robert Lee Parham of Capron and John Thomas Parham of Windsor; five daughters, Miss Linda Rose Parham and Miss Judith Raye Parham of Capron, Mrs. S.R. Johnson of Carrollton, Mrs. A.K. Murphy of Akron, Ohio, and Mrs. Herford Bryant, Jr. of Courtland; 15 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Parham of Roxboro, N.C., and one sister, Miss Maggie Parham of Henderson, N.C. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Purviance Funeral Home, Boykins, by the Rev. J.S. Peebles, pastor of the Capron Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. Dalphon Thompson, pastor of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, Drewryville, and the Rev. R.H. Marks, retired Methodist Minister of Capron. Burial was in Capron Cemetery.
