CHARLES HENRY ROWE

COURTLAND - Charles Henry Rowe, 78, died Wednesday in his home after a long 
illness.

   He was the husband of Mrs. Ethel Barker Rowe and son of James Elliott and 
Mrs. Mary Eugenia Williams Rowe of Southampton County.

   He was a retired farmer and lifelong resident of Southampton County and a 
member of Sebrell Methodist Church.

   Beside his wife he is survived by three daughters, Miss Virginia Lee Rowe 
and Mrs. J.R. Kello, III of Courtland and Mrs. James E. Hughes of Richmond; a 
son, Charles Barker (Jimmie) Rowe of Lexington and Courtland; a sister, Mrs. 
Riddick N. Wells of Courtland and five grandchildren.

   A funeral service will be conducted today at 3 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and 
Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. J.H. Moreland of Sebrell Methodist Church. 
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland.
