HARVEY VERNON ROWE

   SEDLEY - Harvey Vernon Rowe, 73, was fatally burned early Sunday when his 
house was destroyed by fire.

   A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rowe. 
He lived alone.

   Survivors are cousins.

   A funeral service was conducted Tuesday at 3 p.m. in McClenny family 
cemetery by the Rev. J.H. Moreland.

Southampton Co. native, fatally burned 7 Mar 1965, at home, age 73, 
interred in the MCCLENNY family cemetery*, 9 Mar 1965, 
"The Tidewater News" (Franklin, VA), Mar. 11, 1965, p. 3 

*There is a MCCLENNY family cemetery on Johnson's Mill Rd. (Rt. 641) in 
   Sedley, on the grounds of the Sedley Baptist Church.  While it is not clear 
   that the decedent was buried there, and there is no marker for him, he has 
   been added to the list.  There were several connections between the ROWE 
   and McCLENNY families.
