All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JAMES THOMAS ROWE James Thomas Rowe, aged 60, died in Johnston-Willis Hospital, Richmond, Tuesday night of bronchial pneumonia. Mr. Rowe was well known and respected in his community, having been postmaster at Sebrell for a number of years preceding his death. Mr. Rowe is survived by his wife, Unity W. Rowe; a son, J.T. Rowe, Jr. of Richmond; four sisters, Mrs. J.W. Whitehead and Mrs. R.N. Wells of Sebrell, Mrs. G.C. Kirkland of Story and Mrs. Elsie Bryant of Courtland; two brothers, C.H. Rowe of Sebrell and J.N. Rowe of Petersburg, besides a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Rowe had served on the Board of Stewards of Sebrell M.E. Church and superintendent of its Sunday school. Services were held in the home at Sebrell Thursday at 3:30 o’clock p.m., with interment in Sebrell cemetery, Rev. A.W. Roten of Courtland Methodist charge conducting the rites, assisted by W.E.
