James M. ROWE, farm laborer, d. 8 Sep 1873, age ca. 32, "The Daily State Journal" (Richmond, VA), Sep. 22, 1873 (Vol. 5, No. 270), p. 1, col. 2 The (recopied) Southampton Co. Death Records (1853-1890) give the following: Rowe, James M., d. 9 Dec 1865, age 19, sn/o Patrick & Martha {orig.p. 4 #50} Rowe, Jese, d. 8 Sep 1873, age 34, sn/o Patrick & [not given] {orig.p. 5 #19} (Southampton Co. Death Records {1853-1890}, p. 369) Patrick & Martha ROWE appear in the 1850 Census (Nottaway P'sh, p. 306a dwl/fam #353) with son James M., age 9. Transcript by Col. P.J.
