Raiford Rites Tomorrow FRANKLIN - Funeral services for Robert Allen Raiford will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Corinth Meeting by Christopher Rigsby and James A. Coney, minister of Friends. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Mr. Raiford, 79, retired farmer, died in his sleep at his home in Franklin Wednesday*. A son of Aquilla and Victoria* Bristow Raiford of Southampton County, he was a member of Corinth Friends Meeting. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lizzie Joyner Raiford; three daughters, Mrs. Dudley Raiford of Ivor and Mrs. Woodson Eanes and Mrs. Thomas Galtress of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Raynor Joyner of Ivor; a half brother, Reuben Raiford of New Jersey; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. ****************************************************************************** ROBERT ALLEN RAIFORD FRANKLIN - Funeral services for Robert Allen Raiford, 79, who died in his sleep at his home Wednesday*, were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. in Corinth Meetinghouse by Christopher Rigsby and James A. Coney, minister of Friends. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were H.S. Lowe, Edgar Lowe, Elton Stephenson, Wilroy Stephenson, Fred Raiford and Robert Raiford. A retired farmer, Mr. Raiford was a son of Aquilla and Victoria* Bristow Raiford of Southampton County. He was a member of Corinth Friends Meeting. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lizzie Joyner Raiford; three daughters, Mrs. Dudley Raiford of Ivor, and Woodson Eanes and Mrs. Thomas Galtress of Franklin; a son, Timothy Raiford of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Raynor Joyner of Ivor; a half brother, Ruben Raiford of New Jersey; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
