Burgess Raiford of the Ivor community, died at her home Friday, August 8, after an illness of many months. She was the daughter of the late James and Levinia Holt Hedgepeth of this county and held membership in Corinth Friends Meeting. Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Kennon Strowd and Mrs. Lewis Griffith, both of Chapel Hill, N.C.; two sons, Herman C. Raiford of Charlotte, N.C, and Algie Raiford of Ivor; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Corinth Meeting House, with the Rev. Edmund Bloom and the Rev. James R.
