Raiford of the Ivor community, widow of Hunter Raiford, died unexpectedly Tuesday morning, July 12, at the home of a sister, Mrs. A.W. Macey, in Sparta, N.J. She is survived by three sons, Joseph Raiford of Ivor, Walker Raiford of Nashville, Tenn., and George H. Raiford of Victoria; a daughter, Mrs. Aden Powell; five grandchildren; one other sister, Mrs. Phoebe Cowling, also of Sparta; and two brothers, A.R. Cheyney of Arlington and Jesse Cheyney of Washington State. Funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at Corinth Friends Meetinghouse by Rev. Edmund Bloom, followed by burial in Rosemont Cemetery at Sedley. The active pallbearers were Charles E. Neave, John Stephenson, T.M. Raiford, Herman Barnes, L.H. Babb and L.T. Saunders.
