FRANCES LOUISE COBB ROBERTS 

   FRANKLIN - A funeral for Frances Roberts, 68, was held Wednesday at 2 p.m. 
in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. James Browder.  Burial was in Poplar Spring 
Cemetery.

   Roberts died Monday in a hospital.

   She was a native of Southampton County, and the wife of James C. Roberts Jr.

   She had retired from a job at Peebles Department Store after 27 years.  She 
was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church.

   Other survivors include a son, James C. Roberts III of Franklin; her 
mother, Margaret Whitley Cobb of Franklin; three sisters Mary C. Blythe, 
Margaret C. Burgess and Fay C. Shelton, all of Franklin; and a grandchild.
