All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ LIZZIE BRADSHAW RAIFORD Mrs. Lizzie Bradshaw Raiford, 71, well-known resident of the Franklin community and the widow of the late Robert Hudson Raiford, of Franklin, died Tuesday, February 9. She was the daughter of the late Murdock and Elizabeth Raiford* Bradshaw, of Southampton County. She was a member of the Burdette Baptist Church. Surviving are one son, Robert H. Raiford, Jr., of Franklin; three daughters, Mrs. T.E. Britt and Mrs. J.T. Parker, both of Carrsville, and Mrs. J.B. Horne, of Suffolk; eight grandchildren; one brother, Lee Bradshaw, of Franklin, and number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted from the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Chapel on Wednesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Edwin Thornton, pastor of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church, officiated. Burial was in the Black Creek Church cemetery. Pallbearers were George Bradshaw, Reginald Bradshaw, Otis Rainey, Oscar Joyner, Hurley Clarke and Arthur C. Carr. "Lizzie" Elizabeth (BRADSHAW; Mrs. R.
