Raiford Buried Today ZUNI, Sept. 3 - Mary Katherine Raiford, 8, died Monday at a Suffolk Hospital. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Viola Raiford Clark, and step-father, Frank Raby Clark; one sister, Hazel Mae Raiford, all of Zuni; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Bradshaw, of Franklin and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Eula Raiford of Suffolk. The body was taken to the Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, and was taken to Tucker Swamp Baptist Church at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Services were held in the church at 3 p.m. with the Rev. L.E. Holzbach officiating, assisted by the Rev. R.W. Stephenson. Burial was in the Bradshaw family cemetery near Sedley. ****************************************************************************** MARY KATHERINE RAIFORD Mary Katherine Raiford, eight-year-old daughter of Mrs. Viola Raiford Clark, died in Suffolk at 3:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, September 1. The little girl is survived by her mother; her stepfather, Frank Raby Clark; a sister, Hazel Mae Raiford; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Bradshaw; and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Eula Raiford. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church by the pastor, Rev. L.E. Holzbach, and Rev. R.D. Stephenson. The choir sang "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" and "Beautiful Valley of Eden." Burial was in the Bradshaw family cemetery at Sedley. Active pallbearers were Donald Bowden, R.L. Bradshaw, Alpha Cobb, Earl Cobb, McCoy Fowler and J.J. Harrison, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were members of the little girl's Sunday School class.
