Williams Alfard and the Rev. Ernest Cary. Burial was at 2:30 p.m. in Corinth Christian Church Cemetery, King William County. Pallbearers were Garland M. Davis, Amos H. Cutright, J.E. Edwards Jr., R.M. Stephenson, W.H. Stieh Jr., R.L. Harrup, James F. Rick and Edward R. Rice. Mrs. Rice, 76, died Friday in a Franklin hospital. A native of King William County, she was a daughter of Carl Lee and Mrs. Emma Tuck Poats and the widow of Wesley N. Rice. She was a member of Corinth Christian Church. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Edward T. Langford of Richmond, Mrs. E.J. Cutright Sr. of Ivor, Mrs. Joseph H. James of Aylett, Mrs. Adam H. Brosmer of Bedford, Ind., and Mrs. Oliver L. Kay of Lanexa; four sons, Geroge R. Rice of Mongohick, C. Gordan Rice of Mechanicsville, Benjamin L. Rice of Claudsville, and Edward L. Rice of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Clara Hodges of Richmond; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. [Annie (POATS; Mrs. Wesley N.)
