Reese, age 75, a resident of Jarratt, died at McGuire VA Hospital, Richmond, on Sunday, June 10, 1984. She was a veteran of WWII, WACS, and was a member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Mary R. Whitmore of Jarratt and Mrs. Milton Shufelt of Richmond; two aunts, Mrs. Margaret Sledge, Emporia, Mrs. Jean Reese of Sebrell. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 12, 1984 at 3:00 p.m. in Reese-Simmons Family Cemetery, Sebrell, Va. The family will be at the residence of O.E. Parker in Wakefield, Monday evening 7 to 8 p.m. Remains rest at Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield. ****************************************************************************** ANNIE REBECCA REESE SEBRELL - A funeral for Annie Rebecca Reese, 75, was conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at graveside in Reese-Simmons Family Cemetery by the Rev. Robert Wyatt. A native of Sebrell in Southampton County, she lived in Jarratt and died Sunday in a Richmond hospital. She was a Methodist and was a Women's Army Corps veteran of World War II. Survivors include two sisters, Mary R. Whitmore of Jarratt and Mrs. Milton Shufelt of Richmond. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, had charge.
