Rose was conducted at 4:30 p.m. Saturday in Franklin Baptist Church by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Roger Beale, William Hiltner, A.J. Smith, Sam Powell Sr., Sam Hassett, G. Hinson Parker and A.H. Gee. Rose, 57, died of a heart attack in his home early Thursday. He was the husband of Mrs. Victoria Greene Rose and a son of the late William and Mrs. Hattie Morris Rose of Tyner, N.C. A native of Tyner, he lived here 30 years. He owned Rose Bros. Jewelry. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and its Men’s Bruner Bible Class. Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Bernard O’Berry and a son, Bruce Rose Jr., both of Franklin; a brother, William N. (Bud) Rose of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; three sisters, Mrs. Willie Piland of Suffolk and Mrs. Oscar Lane and Mrs. Darvin Spivey of Whaleyville; and five grandchildren. Bruce S. ROSE (Sr.), owner- Rose Bros.
