Holland and Sons Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were Raymond Porter, Leo Banks, B.F. Dix, J.P. Simmons, George Lupton, Charlie Lupton, Roger W. Drake and Julian Tillery. A native of Southampton County, she was the wife of F. Paul Rose Jr. and a daughter of Jesse and Mrs. Essie Beale Davis. She was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and its Sunday School class. Besides her husband and parents, surviving are two daughters, Misses Barbara Carol Rose and Connie Frances Rose, and two sons, James Douglas Rose and Jerry Davis Rose, all of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Woodard of Norfolk and Mrs. Edith Edwards of Pendleton, N.C.; and a brother, Harold Davis of Whitakers, N.C.
