Richards, died today at 8:17 p.m. at the home of her sister, Mrs. W.W. White here. For the last three years she had been a resident of Emporia. Mrs. Richards was the daughter of the late John C. and Mrs. Rebecca Capp [sic; Capps] Wilroy, of Nansemond County. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Emporia, and the Woman's Auxiliary of the church, and of the Riparian Woman's Club, of Emporia. Surviving, besides Mrs. White, are one other sister, Mrs. A.P. Pope, of Drewryville; four brothers, J.C. Wilroy, Sr., of Millers Tavern; T.N. Wilroy, of Galveston, Tex.; L.H. Wilroy, of Driver, and J.L. Wilroy, of Chester. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Purviance Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Rose, of Norfolk, officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. ****************************************************************************** MRS. MARGUERITE W. RICHARDS Mrs. Marguerite Wilroy Richards, wife of Edward W. Richards of Emporia, died at the home in Boykins of her sister, Mrs. Wallace White, on Monday night, February 9. For the past three years she had been a resident of Emporia. Mrs. Richards, one-time society editor of The Tidewater News in Franklin, was a daughter of the late John C. and Mrs. Rebecca Capp [sic; Capps] Wilroy of Nansemond County. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, Emporia, the Woman's Auxiliary of the church, and the Riparian Woman's Club of Emporia. Survivors, in addition to Mrs. White, are one other sister, Mrs. Amos P. Pope of Drewryville; and four brothers, J.C. Wilroy, Sr., of Millers Tavern, J.L. Wilroy of Chester, L.H. Wilroy of Driver, and T.N. Wilroy of Galveston, Tex. Funeral services for Mrs. Richards were held at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Purviance Funeral Home, with Rev. Frank Rose of Norfolk officiating, assisted by Revs. N.B. Habel and M.W. Anderson of Boykins. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. The active pallbearers were John Abernathy, Mike Patus, Dr. Vernon I. Tillar and Tommy Watkins, all of Emporia; and H.O. Carlton, Godwin Draper, C.M. Edwards and J.S. Owen of Boykins. The flower bearers were members of the Elnora Callaham circle and the Epworth Bible class of the Boykins Methodist Church. ****************************************************************************** MRS.
