All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ JOHN HAMILTON REID FRANKLIN - John Hamilton Reid, civil engineer and retired employee of Camp Manufacturing Co., died Monday about 7:40 a.m. in his home here after a long illness. He was a registered civil engineer in Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Franklin Presbyterian Church, and a former Rotarian. Born in Anderson County, S.C., he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. James Reid and the husband of Mrs. Kirk C. Reid. He attended Moffettsville Academy in Anderson County and graduated from Clemson College. Besides his widow, surviving are a sister, Mrs. Fred Dean of Anderson, two nephews and four nieces. A funeral service was conducted in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, Wednesday at noon by the Rev. John Steele of Franklin Presbyterian Church and the Rev. Robert E. Davis of Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Pallbearers were Charles Banks, Macon Kirk Banks, Robert H.
