Miss Rhodes, a native of Franklin, was a member of High Street United Methodist Church. She was a student at Longwood College, Farmville. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. Survivors include her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William J. Rhodes Jr.; two sisters, Catherine Lewis Rhodes and Kimberly Maxwell Rhodes, both of Virginia Beach; and her paternal grandmother, Avis L. Rhodes of Franklin. Graveside services were conducted Wednesday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Revs. John Siegle and Robert Fridley. Wright Funeral Home handled the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to Franklin High School Track Fund, P.O. Box 354, Franklin, Va. 23851.
