Mr. Rhodes was a native of Norfolk. He retired from Union Camp Corp. of Franklin, after 18 years. He was a Navy veteran and a member of Colosse Baptist Church in Isle of Wight County. Survivors include two daughters, Tane Case of Norfolk and Jo Tee Drake of Black Creek; a son, Joseph Tran Rhodes of Black Creek; and four grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Thursday in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, by the Clyde R. Alderman. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park.
