WINDSOR - A funeral service for John W. Rhodes Jr., 23, was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Colosse Baptist Church by the Rev. Edwin Thornton. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park, with Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, in charge. Rhodes died Saturday as the result of a motorcycle accident. A native of Suffolk, he was the son of John W. Rhodes Sr. and Colleen R. Williams of Norfolk. He was an employee of the Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation and was a member of Colosse Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Bayside High School, Virginia Beach. Other survivors include his stepfather, Lloyd E. Williams of Norfolk; four sisters, Jo Tee R. Drake of Windsor, Tane R. Case and Anthea W. Williams of Norfolk and Susan M. Skinner of Suffolk; a brother, Joseph Trans Rhodes of Norfolk; and nieces and nephews.
