BRYANT RIDDICK Funeral services for Mrs. Nora Bryant Riddick were held at 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon at New Hope Methodist Church, near Como, N.C. Mrs. Riddick, 72, well-known resident of the Como community, died unexpectedly at her home in Riddicksville early Friday morning, May 12, after suffering a heart attack. She was the wife of the late James Dillard Riddick and daughter of the late William Darden and Margaret Lawrence Bryant of Southampton County. Surviving her are a son, James Dillard Riddick, Jr., of Como and several nieces and nephews. Officiating at the funeral were Rev. R.B. Moore of Newsoms, assisted by Rev. R.H. Shapland, a former pastor. Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: E.M. Bryant, J.E. Bryant, O.P. Bryant, J.C. Story, W.R. Ashburn and E.B. Davis. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin.
