Hudgins and the Rev. Dallas Stallings. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Vaidon Stallings, Arthur Gray Stallings, Vernon Rideout, Preston Rideout, Joe Hayes and Richmond Hayes. Rideout, 72, a retired employee of Union-Camp Corporation died Friday morning at Southampton Memorial Hospital after a short illness. A native of Sussex County, he was a son of Benjamin V. and Mrs. Charlotte Sammons Rideout and the husband of Mrs. Gertrude Collins Rideout. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, Bruner Bible Class, and Woodmen of the World. Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, Daniel Thornton Rideout, Robert Waverly Rideout, and Lawrence Melville Rideout of Franklin; a sister, Mrs. Annie Mae Stallings of Disputanta; and seven grandchildren.
