ELIZABETH SUE CRUMPLER RIDDLE

   Mrs. Elizabeth Sue Crumpler Riddle, 53, wife of Paul H. Riddle of Norfolk, 
died early Sunday morning, November 4, after an illness of several years 
duration.

   She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Caroline Bradshaw Crumpler of 
this county.  Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mary 
Sue Wunner of Norfolk; one grandson, Timothy J. Wunner of Norfolk; and two 
brothers, Charlie D. Crumpler of Franklin and Crawford Crumpler of Norfolk.

   Last rites for Mrs. Riddle were conducted at 2:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon 
at the Sycamore Baptist Church by the pastor, Rev. L.M. Kanipe, followed by 
interment in the church cemetery.

   Pallbearers were Jack L. Brown and Griffin Hall of Norfolk, Dewey 
Sanderford and S.D. Bryant of Raleigh, N.C. and Emmett Drake and Vance Vaughan 
of Franklin.

   for the license, & witnessed the union, 11 Aug 1922, Midway [Bapt.] Church, 
   Neuse River Twp, Wake Co., NC. 

Widowed, Paul 2m. 25 Apr 1952 widow Mabel Irene Smith, in Norfolk 
   (Norfolk #732).  Paul is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk.

Widowed, Mabel 4m. 21 Aug 1960 widower Edwin Smedley Banta Jr., in Norfolk 
   (Norfolk #1225).
