All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ INA BURKS RIDLEY Mrs. Ina Burks Ridley, 80, of Violet Hill Plantation, Courtland, died Tuesday, November 13, 1979, in Louisville, Ky., while visiting her daughter. She was a native of Decatur, Ala. and the widow of Churchill Gibson Ridley. She is a member of the Courtland United Methodist Church and the Mary White Cobb Circle, Southampton County Historical Society and was a graduate of Randolph Macon Institute and Madison College. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Gwendolyn R. Gillette of Courtland, Mrs. Ann R. Bain, Capron, Va., and Mrs. Ina R. Pittman of Louisville, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. Aileen B. Zehmer of Vero Beach, Fla.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the graveside in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, by the Rev. W.W. Clark. The family asks that memorial be made to the Courtland United Methodist Church Building Fund. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, is in charge of arrangements. Ina Lex (BURKS; Mrs. Churchill G.)
