EUNICE HOLT LOWE RUTLEDGE

   FRANKLIN - Eunice Holt Lowe Rutledge, 68, of the 800 block of Kimberly 
Drive, a retired nurse, died Dec. 4 in a Norfolk hospital.

   Mrs. Rutledge, a native of Southampton, was the widow of Willie H. 
Rutledge. She had retired from Southampton Memorial Hospital.  She was a 
graduate of Louise Obici School of Nursing, Suffolk.  She was a Protestant.

   Survivors include two daughters, Joan L. Raiford of Franklin and Patricia 
L. Padgett of Windsor; a sister, Otelia H. Powell of Suffolk; two brothers, 
Elija Holt of Norfolk and Jack Holt of Franklin; four grandchildren and a 
great-grandchild.

   The funeral was conducted Sunday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. 
Richard Dickmann.  Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery.
