HOWARD LEWIS RITTER

   WINDSOR - A funeral for Howard L. Ritter, 71, was held Monday at 3 p.m. in 
Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, by the Rev. J.W. Horne.  Wright Funeral Home 
was in charge.

   Ritter died Saturday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.

   He was a native of Windsor, and was the husband of Irene Whitfield Ritter.

   Other survivors include a daughter, Barbara R. Richardson of Raleigh, N.C.; 
three sons, Leslie W. Collier, III of Churches Island, N.C.; Milton R. Collier 
of Westchester, Pa., and Harry C. Collier of Elizabeth City, N.C.; and three 
sisters, Rushie Johnson of Handsom, Elma Frenkel of St. Petersburg, Fla.; and 
Inez Tuttle of Portsmouth.
