Mr. Ritter was born on the 23rd day of October, 1891. His remains were brought to Franklin and buried in Poplar Spring Cemetery. The funeral services were conducted on Sunday, November 9th, 1919, by his pastor, Rev. L.F. Paulette. The deceased is survived by his father, George W. Ritter, and his step-mother, and seven sisters, Mrs. J.C. Johnson of Handsom, Mrs. P.S. Cutchin of Portsmouth, Miss Elma Ritter of Portsmouth, Miss Mattie Ritter of Franklin, Inez, Ruchie and Antionette Ritter of Windsor, and five brothers, G.H. Ritter of Portsmouth, Gurlie, Willard, Martin and Howard Ritter of Windsor. The deceased was a young man of sterling worth, energetic, loyal and trustworthy in all things which he undertook. Though afflicted for a long time, he was patient and true to his faith.
