The rites were held at Barnes Methodist Church by the Revs. Colston, O.L. Gochenour and L.F. Smith with burial in the family cemetery at Statesville. Mr. Railey and his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Bryant Railey who survives him, had lived in the Statesville community half a century. Just a few weeks ago, on March 7, they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons. Richard and Russell Railey, both of Newsoms; two brothers, E.L. and M.J. Railey of Como; a sister, Mrs. J.L. Barnes of Jackson, N.C.; four grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were L.L. Thorpe, J.L. Howell, [...*], J.V. Simmons, C.M. Floyd, R.E. Drake, E.B. Prince, L.S. Myrick, and C.R. Everett. There is a line running through the print at the top and middle of many of the papers and it effected many of the obits. I've put elipses for the part that's missing.
