All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MARY ROBERTSON FOUSHEE RAILEY COMO, N.C. - Mrs. Mary Foushee Railey, 77, well-known resident of the Como community, died Wednesday afternoon at the Lane Nursing Home, Suffolk, after several months of failing health. She was the daughter of the Rev. Nathan B. Foushee and Mrs. Lelia Ann Robertson Foushee. Her father was a Methodist minister in Southampton county for a number of years. She was a member of New Hope Methodist Church and its Woman’s Society of Christian Service. Surviving are her husband, Marvin J. Rainey; one son, M. Foushee Railey, both of Como, and one daughter, Mrs. Robert Akerman of Falls Church, Va.; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice F. Bryant and Mrs. Eva F. Bryant, both of Sunbeam, Va., and Mrs. Emma F. Johnson of Norfolk, and nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at the W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home in Franklin Friday at 2:30 p.m. by the Rev. H.W. Landis, pastor of the New Hope Methodist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were R.B. Bryant, Elmo Whitley, Julian Britt, J.A. Whitley, Dillard Riddick, and P.D. Howell. Mary Robertson (FOUSHEE; Mrs. Marvin J.) RAILEY, of Como, NC, b.
