ROBERT RAWLS After a brief illness, Mrs. Dianna Rawls, wife of Mr. Robert Rawls departed this life last Friday morning at the home of her husband near Elwood; aged 59 years. The deceased was possessed of many lovable characteristics, and was a devoted wife and mother. She was a sister of Messrs. C.A. Cutchins of this town, Mayor Joel H. Cutchins of Roanoke, Major Sol Cutchins of Richmond and Oliver and Mrs. John T. Cutchins near Elwood. Besides the above she is survived by her husband and the following children: James T. of Crystal River, Fla., John A., Chas. R, Joel G., Robert P., Sol W. and Misses Christine and Mabel and Mrs. J.R.L. Johnson and Mrs. J. Paul Jones, the last named two of this town. The funeral took place from her late home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. J.E. Jones conducted the services, after which the remains were brought to this town and interred in the Poplar Spring Cemetery, Rev. J.L. McCutcheon reading the burial service. The active pall-bearers were her six sons and two sons-in-law. The honorary were Dr. T.H. Barnes, W.H. Jones, Hugh Lawrence, W.Q. Peele, Jason P. Holland and K.S. Daughtrey.
