RAWLS, 46, PAINT COMPANY VICE PRESIDENT BAYSIDE - Eldridge Wells Rawls, 46, of 23 Hermitage Point, Thoroughgood, vice president and one of the founders of Seaboard Paint co., died in a Norfolk hospital Tuesday at 12:45 p.m. A native of Capron, he lived in this area 29 years. He was a member of Bayside Christian Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Edith Herbert Rawls; three sons Sadron Clyde Lambert, III, John Thomas Rawls II and Eldridge Wells Rawls, Jr. of Bayside; his mother, Mrs. Maud Felts Rawls of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mrs. B.F. Rountree and Mrs. Euclid M. Hanbury of Portsmouth; four brothers, Julian E. Rawls and Clyde M. Rawls of Portsmouth, Raymond G. Rawls of Capron and John Clayton Rawls of San Leandro, Calif. A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Thursday at noon by the Rev. Earl T. Farrell of Bayside Christian Church. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
