She was a daughter of Uriah and Mrs. Nannie Elizabeth Cotton Rawls. A native of Franklin, she was a member of Franklin Baptist Church, Franklin Music Club, and Agnes Lee Chapter of United Daughters of the Confederacy. Surviving are five sisters, Mrs. J.B. Barnes of Franklin, Mrs. L.E. Bush of Richmond, Mrs. Chaffee A Scarborough of Miami, Mrs. Winston Camp of Ivor and Mrs. W.P. Jones of Edenton; and three brothers, Charles Spurgeon Rawls of Goldsboro, N.C., Dr. E. Cotton Rawls of Darien, Conn., and Uriah Rawls of Orange, Tex. A funeral service was conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in Baptist Church by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery with W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home in charge.
