RAWLS The funeral of Mrs. J.T. Rawls of Dunnellon, Fla., took place at Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, on Tuesday evening at 6 o'clock, the body arriving here for interment on the Seaboard train. The deceased was formerly Miss Mollie Lawrence, and was born and reared at the old Lawrence homestead near South Quay in Nansemond county. In 1896 she was married to Mr. Jas. T. Rawls, member of an old and well known Nansemond county family. For a number of years Mr. and Mrs. Rawls made their home in Florida where the former has been in charge of the extensive phosphate works of the Camp Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Rawls was 55 years of age and had been for many years an earnest and consistent member of the Baptist church. She was a faithful and loving wife, and her devotion to her family and friends was constant and beautiful. Her whole life was crowned with acts of loving service, and while she will be sadly missed by the large circle of relatives and friends it can truly be said of her, "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, for they rest from their labors and their works do follow them." Besides her husband, Mr. J.T. Rawls, Mrs. Rawls leaves one brother, Mr. H.J. Lawrence of South Quay, one sister, Mrs. Pattie Jones of this place, and a large number of nieces, nephews and other connections in this community. The services were conducted by the Rev. M.A. MacLean of the Baptist church, a selected choir rendering "The Christians' Good Night" at the close. The flowers were numerous and beautiful. The pallbearers were: active, W.W.
