RAWLS CAPRON - Mrs. Maud Felts Rawls, 87, widow of John Thomas Rawls, died Wednesday in Maryview Hospital, Portsmouth, after a long illness. She lived lately with a daughter, Mrs. Mary Rountrey of 215 Rolen Drive, Chesapeake. Surviving are another daughter, Mrs. Euclid Hanbury of Portsmouth and four sons, Julian E. Rawls of Portsmouth, Clyde M. Rawls of Chesapeake, Raymond G. Rawls of Capron and John Clayton Rawls of San Leandro, Calif., eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. in Capron Methodist Church by the Rev. C.B. Spivey, Jr. Burial will be in Capron Cemetery with Echols Funeral Home, Emporia, in charge.
