Edward B. Owen. Purviance Funeral Home, Wakefield, was in charge. Pallbearers were Clifton W. Britt, J. Russell West, Ernest W. Pittman, John T. Faircloth Jr., Homer S. Saunders, R. Marvis Felts, A.W. Saunders, E.V. Stephenson Jr., Booker Smith and Thomas M. Pulley. Mrs. Rawls, 82, died Tuesday morning in Hermitage Methodist Home, Richmond, after a short illnesss. A native of Southampton County, she was a member of Ivor Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Farmville State Teachers College and formerly taught in Ivor schools. She was a daughter of Anthony F. and Mrs. Senora Joyner Cobb and the wife of Willie C. Rawls of Richmond. Besides her husband, surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James A. Thomson of Alexandria; a sister, Mrs. R.H. Rawls of Richmond; and two grandchildren. Ruth Batten (COBB; Mrs. Willie C.)
