RAWLS Stella Cook Rawls, 76, died Nov. 13, 2000, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late William C. and Dorothy Dunlow Cook and the widow of Raymond Grizzard "Moon" Rawls. Mrs. Rawls retired from Southampton Memorial Hospital where she worked as a nurse for 25 years. She was a member of Capron United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, John R. Rawls and his wife, Ann, of Capron; a brother, Bynum Cook of Newsoms; two grandchildren, Mary Ann Rawls of Richmond and John R. Rawls Jr. of Capron; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and five brothers, Pearl Newsom, Bessie Cook, Charlie Cook, William Cook, James Cook, Ashby Cook and Luter Cook. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Capron Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the home of John and Ann Rawls, 17486 Old Belfield Road, Capron. Wright Funeral Home is in charge. Stella (COOK; Mrs. Raymond G.
